Wine and cider from unexpected regions: a white from Ukraine, a Pinot Noir from Germany and a cider from Jackson Hole.
The white: SHABO Reserve Telti-Kuruk
Telti-Kuruk is a native Ukrainian grape. SHABO grows it near the Black Sea, in the Odesa region.
The red: Chiara Pinot Noir
A Pinot Noir from Germany, where the grape is called Spätburgunder. Only France and the United States grow more Pinot Noir.
The cider: Farmstead Kelly Street Cider
Farmstead started by picking Jackson’s crabapples to keep bears and other wildlife out of town. This one is pressed from apples gleaned in the Kelly Street neighborhood.
